CheckSitePulse Scanner
What the CheckSitePulseBot scanner is and what it requests.
Last updated: 2026-09-29
What this is
Requests identifying as CheckSitePulseBot/1.0 (+https://checksitepulse.net/bot) come from CheckSitePulse, a website-scanning service. A
registered user asked us to scan your website. We do not crawl the web on our own.
What it requests
- Pages of the site, following links, with no page limit, up to 10 links deep per
scan. It honours your
robots.txt, and reads your sitemaps. - Links to other websites found on your pages, to check that they work (HEAD, or a small GET).
- 17 fixed well-known paths, such as
/.env,/.git/HEAD,/backup.sqland/phpinfo.php, to check whether sensitive files are publicly readable. Only the response status and type are kept, never the content. - DNS lookups for your domain, and a TLS connection to port 443 to inspect the certificate.
Requests are read-only and limited in size and time, and only public addresses are contacted. The scanner never logs in, submits forms or sends attack payloads.
Ask us to stop
Add rules for the scanner to your robots.txt, or email
support@checksitepulse.net with the domain and we will look into it.
